BayWa r.e. has an established photovoltaic and onshore wind project pipeline of over 20 GW that is diversified across more than 20 countries worldwide. Partnering with EIP will allow for an accelerated build-out of a globally and technologically diversified renewables platform.

The BayWa r.e. team has utilized its innovative strengths to develop smart solutions in the global renewables space, evidenced by a vast portfolio of work primarily composed of solar photovoltaic, onshore wind, bioenergy, and hybrid projects.

Selected projects in Europe:

  • Designing and constructing the largest floating-PV installation outside of Asia, The Netherlands
  • Redeveloping and repowering wind farms, and almost tripling energy output, Germany
  • Developing one of Europe’s first and largest subsidy-free solar parks, Spain

About the platform

Strong partnership to implement strategic roadmap

BayWa Group, BayWa r.e. and EIP have collaborated to develop a joint business plan with a clear strategic roadmap.

As part of the roadmap, one pillar is the creation of an independent power producer platform of significant size, whereby BayWa r.e. will independently operate solar and wind parks alongside its existing businesses.
