Your area of responsibility

As a member of EIP’s client solutions team, you will work with the company’s investment writer and investment team to prepare reports published by the company. More broadly, you will support the firm’s investor communication, thought leadership and fund marketing efforts as part of its mission to grow assets under management and expand globally with the following key responsibilities:

  • Executing and maintaining quarterly reporting plan related to all EIP vehicles as deputy to investment writer; helping drive continuous improvement to the process with an emphasis on automation and efficiency
  • Coordinating and supporting asset owners, data analysis team and seniors across the company with their inputs and reviews related to the reporting process

Your skills and experience

  • Ideally first experience within asset management and client services, preferably with a private markets background; candidates from top business newspapers or academic backgrounds with a proven interest in finance and private markets will also be very happily considered
  • Good understanding of investments (including performance and risk), the investment process and first exposure to institutional investors, as well as an understanding of the infrastructure asset class and private equity
  • Superior organization skills, with the ability to manage several processes simultaneously and work towards tight deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Highly structured approach to writing and thinking that you apply to all problems you want to solve, while always optimizing for simplicity, efficiency and good style

Your area of responsibility

The position will focus on supporting the asset managers to optimize and add shareholder value in existing and new investments (project assets, corporates and portfolios). As part of our value creation team, you will work alongside experienced colleagues (former Tier 1 consultants from McKinsey, BCG) and be responsible for:

  • Value adding initiatives: Identifying and executing measures to improve operational or commercial performance of assets across the portfolio

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of business-relevant professional experience in a top-tier management consulting or private equity company preferably in the energy sector (particularly renewables)
  • Excellent academic background with a Bachelor, Master, MBA or PhD degree from a top-tier university or business school
  • Familiar with development and roll-out of strategy concepts, in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and financial modelling
  • Experience with (digital) performance reporting, e.g. from the private equity space would be a plus
  • Detail-oriented but pragmatic problem solver, capable of tackling and solving complex challenges conceptually and systematically

  • Advising on legal matters and governance frameworks related to the operation of entities and investment products regulated by market supervisors in jurisdictions like Switzerland and Luxembourg (e.g. FINMA, CSSF)

Your area of responsibility

As an Investments and Asset Management Renewable Expert with your specialized technical and commercial knowledge of the renewable energies sector, you will be supporting senior asset managers to the success of our asset management initiatives and the investment team in Zurich contributing to the due diligence process with the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting the origination team in the due diligence phase (technical, contractual and financial), liaising with advisors, potential targets and senior management of EIP

Your skills and experience

  • Business-relevant professional experience of 5-7 years at a recognized leader in the renewable energy industry, e.g. utilities, investment management, renewable energy advisory and/or engineering services sector
  • Excellent academic background with completed studies in business administration or natural/engineering sciences with a Master or Ph.D. degree from a globally recognized top-tier university or business school

Your area of responsibility

The position will focus on business development and distribution activities within the segment of large and sophisticated institutional clients (i.e., pension funds, insurance companies, single family offices and global financial institutions) out of Luxembourg for Europe excluding Switzerland – initially mainly Germany, Austria, Benelux, the Nordics and the United Kingdom. In close collaboration with the team in Zurich you will inter alia be responsible for:

Business Development

  • Maintaining and deepening of existing client relationships as well as identifying and developing new business opportunities and distribution channels

  • Responsible for cross-border pre-marketing and marketing notifications of AIFs for professional investors under AIFMD: initial and ongoing (maintenance) notifications
  • Coordinate notifications process (maintenance) with our service provider
  • Prepare marketing materials associated with fund raising and ensure consistency within compliance and their applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure competitive and consistent positioning of the product offering

Your skills and experience

  • Several years of business development, client servicing and/or distribution experience in the asset management industry – ideally with proven track record in covering private market and infrastructure investments to institutional clients
  • Strong knowledge of the marketing regulatory framework

Your area of responsibility

As Investment Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the team throughout the investment lifecycle, starting from sourcing and execution of transactions to post-closing value creation and asset management tasks all the way to potential opportunistic sell-downs. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Support the sourcing and execution of transactions, which includes:
  • Performing independent research on specific markets and investment opportunities including the derivation of possible investment strategies and delivery of inputs to investment memoranda
  • Preparation and maintenance of financial modeling and analysis, company and asset valuations
  • Coordination of sub-streams in the acquisition process, particularly due diligence work streams such as technical, commercial, regulatory, legal, ESG, insurance, financial, tax and structuring

 

  • Support asset managers in measuring and creating shareholder value in existing portfolio investments, which includes:
  • Analyzing adequate company KPIs to monitor asset developments against investment thesis
  • Maintaining and improving valuation models to track investment performance including coordinating various stakeholders such as valuation agent
  • Support in strategic decision-making by providing qualitative and quantitative analysis and following-up on legal agreements. Key events include, for instance, changes in capital structure, business strategy, revenues, technology, ESG, governance or regulatory developments
  • Writing and further developing periodic reports on the managed investments in companies for the attention of the investors, lenders and investment committees
  • Maintaining ongoing relations with industry partners and proactively managing operators and external service providers including, if necessary, retendering of services

Fund Corporate Officer in Luxembourg

Your area of responsibility

  • Manage the corporate governance of EIP Luxembourg:
    • Lead the organization, coordinate and prepare the minutes of various meetings (e.g. monthly senior management meetings, committees and board meetings)
    • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders for the setup documents of an existing or new fund including the filing of the fund prospectus with the CSSF, monitor the updates on side letters, election letters or offer memorandum in coordination with our client solutions team

    • Prepare the FATCA/CRS forms on an annual basis
  • Facilitate smooth execution of the acquisition, management, or disposal of an asset:
    • Organize the transaction related board meeting including the draft of the minutes and preparation of the board package
    • Prepare the Luxembourgish legal documents based on the fund flow prepared by product operations team or investments team
    • Review and validate legal documentation prepared by lawyers including equity commitment letters, minutes, loans agreements, etc.
    • Collect and store the closing documents in the archiving tool
  • Incorporate Luxembourgish special purpose vehicles (SPVs):
    • Act as the main point of contact person with the team, lawyers and notary
    • Prepare the draft articles of incorporation/association including the legal package
    • Schedule the notary appointment
    • Open the bank account and ensure the ongoing monitoring on the AML/CTF

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a legal/company secretary/corporate matters role
  • Well organized and rigorous with high attention to detail and accuracy; experience in project management
  • Excellent academic background with completed studies in legal or similar

Your area of responsibility

  • Facilitate smooth execution of new investments:
    • Act as main point of contact for investments team during execution phase of new investments and coordinate Luxembourg related activities
    • Oversee/review the tax structuring process of the investment vehicles based on the tax memos and transfer pricing studies prepared by tax advisors
    • Review and challenge legal documentation including equity commitment letters, minutes, loan agreements, etc. against internal guidelines
    • Review and prepare the transaction closing fund flow in coordination with the investments team
    • Collect and store the closing documents in the archiving right folders/tool
  • Maintain existing fund and investment structures:
    • Act as main point of contact for investments and portfolio management team during holding period for all Luxembourg related aspects
    • Ensure smooth operations with external service providers incl. administrators, depositories, valuation agents, auditors, and quality assurance of received results in a structured and systematic way
    • Ensure ongoing compliance with the tax structuring memorandums at all structural levels including potential restructurings if and when needed
    • Monitor legislative changes, trigger and coordinate amendments to legal documentations throughout the investment structures if and when needed
  • Oversee the financials of the local entity:
    • Oversee and control the financial accounts and cashflows of the funds and SPVs (e.g., review of the quarterly NAV package, quarterly budget, instructing payment and others)
    • Manage the year-end process of funds and SPVs with the auditors and all involved parties
    • Review tax compliance reporting prepared by external tax advisors
    • Coordinate with the asset owner the withholding tax exemption on foreign countries
    • Calculate and coordinate the dividend distributions to investors
  • Organize quarterly and ad-hoc board meetings:
    • Coordinate the organization of quarterly board meetings as well as ad-hoc meetings (e.g. for investments, capital calls, distributions) with board members and other stakeholders
    • Prepare/review related minutes, resolutions, and other related documents in coordination with inhouse corporate secretary and external legal counsel

Your skills and experience

  • 4-7 years of sector experience, ideally in an international environment, working with sizeable infrastructure (preferably energy) funds in Europe
  • Excellent academic background with completed studies in finance, economics or similar (CFA or similar qualification is an asset)
  • Well organized and rigorous with high attention to detail and accuracy; experience in project management
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics

Your area of responsibility

  • Take leading role throughout the investment lifecycle, starting from sourcing and execution of transactions to post-closing value creation and asset management tasks
  • Develop, frame, analyze and execute value creation initiatives throughout the investment lifecycle in close collaboration with external and internal management and supported by the internal expert functions
  • Take full ownership of managing participations in our portfolio companies and assets with end-to-end responsibility for delivery of investor returns and insightful client reporting and a mandate in the Board of Directors in the portfolio companies, if relevant

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent academic background with completed studies in business administration or natural/engineering sciences with a Master or Ph.D. degree from a globally recognized top-tier university of business school
  • At least 5-7 years of investment experience working in the energy industry or on sizeable infrastructure transactions and/or investments globally
  • Significant experience of managing a highly motivated team and comfortable managing complex deals/projects
  • Strong network in the energy market with the ability to originate and source deals
  • Profound understanding and experience of M&A transactions, gained from a substantial track record of transactions through conducting due diligence processes in the infrastructure sector and negotiating transactions independently
  • Familiar with project financing and good commercial and technical expertise coupled with a strong understanding of the key value drivers and risks of potential investments that are in line with compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics
  • Independent, pro-active, flexible and entrepreneurial approach; therefore, a self-motivated personality with excellent communication skills and with a positive, can-do attitude
