Senior Institutional Sales (DA)CH

Looking for a career change? How would you like to work in the heart of Zurich’s financial district, within a diverse team and dynamic company? We offer an exciting position within the Client Solutions team of Energy Infrastructure Partners (EIP), an investment boutique specialized in private equity investments in the energy infrastructure sector, from wind farms to electricity grids. Currently managing over CHF 4bn of capital on behalf of institutional investment vehicles, EIP is growing rapidly and looking for new talent to support with expanding its focus to global investment activities.

Your area of responsibility

You will be responsible for steering business development and sales activities within the segment of large and sophisticated institutional clients in German-speaking Switzerland, Germany and Austria. You will cover pension funds, insurance companies, single family offices and global financial institutions.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities resulting in new net sales flows
  • Maintain and deepen existing client relationships, prepare and lead client portfolio reviews and act as “center of competence” / “product specialist” for product-related client inquiries by ensuring in-depth knowledge about EIP’s products, investment approach and investment view
  • Initiate and coordinate local marketing activities (mailings, client events, seminars)
  • Strengthen local consultant relations and contribute to global consultant coordination processes
  • Lead the coordination of RFP’s, final presentations and client onboarding, including the setup of segregated accounts, transition management, etc. on the performance of the firm’s portfolios and assets
  • Assist more senior Client Solutions professionals in developing the company’s client marketing and sales strategy as well as the product development strategy
  • Prepare marketing materials associated with fundraising; and ensure competitive and consistent positioning of the product offering
  • Collect and analyze market data and work closely with EIP’s portfolio managers. Analyze the regulatory environment, client and consultant feedback and general developments in client allocations and product selection
  • Manage mid- and/or junior-level Client Solutions professionals to support skill development

Your skills and experience

  • At least 10-15 years of business development/sales experience in the asset management industry, with a proven track record in selling private markets/infrastructure investments to institutional clients
  • Exceptionally strong business development and sales skills, paired with investment knowledge as well as entrepreneurial enthusiasm
  • Able to build and maintain trustworthy, credible, sophisticated and long-term oriented partnerships with clients
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and a structured sales approach
  • Established relationship network and existing up-to-date contacts to key pension funds, insurers, and consultants within the top segments of the DACH institutional market
  • Self-motivated and passionate character with entrepreneurial mindset and team spirit
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines in a very dynamic environment
  • University degree in finance and/or economics and/or equivalent advanced training (CFA, CIIA or CAIA, or progress towards obtaining them)
  • (Swiss) German and English fluent language skills are a must, additional languages are a plus
  • Experience in leading and managing a team is a plus

Client Services Account Manager

Your area of responsibility

  • Support institutional client relationship managers & sales in acquiring, maintaining and further developing client relations, mainly for DACH region investors
  • Support selected B2B distribution Partners and deliver timely and accurate information packages
  • Prepare, review and update client presentations and quarterly product reports, create new sales collaterals, maintain and update existing product presentations and participate actively in selected client meetings
  • Ensure timely and accurate feedback to client and consultant request by adhering to outstanding quality standards
  • Lead and perform input & content for selected projects assigned by senior management such as distribution strategy framework, reporting framework, product launch life-cycle, performance attribution analysis, competitor analysis as well as various ongoing other projects
  • Act as interface between different functions and teams within EIP and third parties e.g. attorneys and tax advisors to ensure an integrated & coherent client service experience representing first class content and accuracy at the point of client interaction

Your skills and experience

  • Experience within Asset Management and Client Service Management, ideally with a private markets background
  • Good understanding of investments (including performance and risk analytics), the investment process, and the exposure to institutional investors as well as an understanding of private markets infrastructure
  • Self-motivated and passionate character with entrepreneurial mind-set and team spirit
  • Ambition to deliver outstanding service to highly demanding institutional clients
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines in a very dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and conceptual skills combined with eloquent oral and written communication skills in (Swiss) German and English are a must, additional languages are a plus
  • University degree in finance and/or economics and/or equivalent advanced training (CFA, CIIA or CAIA, or progress towards obtaining them), ideally combined with first working experience, preferably in consultancy
