Investments Analyst/Associate – Asset Management

Your area of responsibility

As an Investments Analyst/Associate – Asset Management based in our office in Zurich, you will be responsible for supporting the team throughout the investment lifecycle, with special emphasis on post-closing value creation and investment management tasks on specific assets as well as implementation and enhancement of investment management processes on portfolio level. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:

  • Supporting asset managers in measuring and creating shareholder value in existing portfolio investments, which includes:
    • Analyzing adequate company and fund KPIs to monitor asset developments against investment thesis
    • Developing, maintaining and improving valuation models to track investment performance including coordinating various stakeholders such as valuation agent
    • Supporting in strategic decision-making by providing qualitative and quantitative analysis and following-up on legal agreements. Key events include, for instance, changes in capital structure, business strategy, revenues, technology, ESG, governance or regulatory developments
    • Writing and further developing periodic reports on the managed investments in companies for the attention of the investors, lenders and investment committees
    • Maintaining ongoing relations with industry partners and proactively managing operators and external service providers including, if necessary, retendering of services
    • Undertaking proactive liquidity planning including management of debt utilization, equity drawdown processes and financial covenant control
    • Supporting the sourcing and execution of add-on or spin-off transactions by executing company and asset valuation, coordinating sub-streams in the acquisition process and performing independent research on specific markets
  • Leading workstreams in respect of the team’s regular internal reporting processes, including preparation of presentations to the senior management and coordinating with different team members on various ad hoc workstreams supporting marketing activities, especially regarding fundraising, jointly with the Client Solutions team. This includes the preparation of presentations for existing and prospective clients as well as processing client requests
  • Supporting new team as well as company-wide initiatives to help further grow and streamline the business

Your skills and experience

  • 2-5 years of working experience working in top-tier companies in any of the following sectors: energy/utilities, private equity asset management and consulting/advisory, exposure to infrastructure assets is mandatory; previous working experience at a renewable energy player is of advantage
  • Excellent academic background with a degree from a top-tier university, business school or technical university
  • Affinity with energy technologies and power markets combined with strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting
  • Strong financial modelling tasks demonstrated by ability to build a model required as well as strong analytical, problem-solving skills and conceptual thinking

Fund Corporate Manager

Your area of responsibility

This position will focus on corporate governance and secretarial tasks. Your will be responsible from A to Z for the corporate governance of the AIFM, AIFs and SPVs managed by Energy Infrastructure Partners Luxembourg, including the following tasks:

  • Preparing the board and shareholder meetings including the setup, digital board package, preparation and/or review of the minutes in coordination with Product Operation/external providers
  • Reviewing legal minutes of transactions, other relevant documents, and agreements in collaboration with Product Operation and Investments team
  • Setting up the relevant structures by coordinating the incorporation/liquidation/merger of companies to reflect the final structure chart
  • Being the main point of contact for notaries, banks, external corporate teams and Product Operation
  • Setting-up and maintaining the shareholder registers as well as managing the domiciliation agreements
  • Assisting the external provider with the preparation and filing of the FATCA/CRS forms on an annual basis
  • Preparing and organization the quarterly board of the AIFM including the preparation of the minutes
  • Managing a team of 1-2 including the management of the relationship with the external corporate secretarial team
  • Keeping corporate documents and records up to date and ensuring proper filing with RBO, RCS and legal database (e.g. signatory lists, trade registry and other official registers pertaining to the company)
  • Leading ad-hoc internal projects within EIP organization

Your skills and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position: corporate services or legal
  • Master’s degree in law or related subjects/professional in law
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of corporate law as well as the legal and administrative Luxembourg fund industry regulations

Senior Product Operations Specialist

Your area of responsibility

We are hiring a senior to reinforce our Product Operations team within our AIFM based in Luxembourg. The team, in charge of daily management of the Luxembourg-based entities as well as implementation of the transactions, is currently composed of three Investment Fund Managers and is expected to continue growing in the coming quarters in line with the managed portfolio. Within this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage existing funds and investment structures:
    • Acting as main point of contact for investments and portfolio management teams during holding period for all Luxembourg related aspects for an allocated portfolio of funds and SPVs
    • Ensuring smooth operation with external service providers including administrators, depositary, valuation agents and auditors
    • Responding to various ad-hoc requests related to investors’ demands and asset companies’ needs

 

  • Oversee the financials of the local entity:
    • Overseeing and controlling the financial accounts and cashflows of the allocated funds and SPVs (reviewing of quarterly NAV packages and ad-hoc financial situations)
    • Controlling operating expenses based on contracts and budgets and instructing invoice and tax payments
    • Managing the year-end process of allocated funds and SPVs with the auditors and all involved parties
    • Reviewing tax compliance reporting prepared by external tax advisors
    • Calculating and coordinating dividend distributions and capital calls

 

  • Facilitate smooth execution of new investments:
    • Preparing transaction closing fund flows in coordination with investments team
    • Coordinating the set-up of new entities/structures
    • Reviewing legal documentation prepared by inhouse corporate secretary and/or external legal counsel
    • Coordinating requests related to investment closings with investments team, legal, tax advisors and depositary banks
    • Overseeing/reviewing the tax structuring process of the investment vehicles based on the tax memos and transferring pricing studies prepared by tax advisors – Collecting and storing appropriately the closing documents

 

  • Organize quarterly and ad-hoc board meetings:
    • Be involved in organizing quarterly board meetings as well as ad-hoc meetings (e.g. for investments, capital calls, distributions) with board members and other stakeholders
    • Preparing and reviewing related minutes, resolutions, and other related documents in coordination with inhouse corporate secretary and external legal counsel

Your skills and experience

  • 3-5 years of sector experience, ideally in an international environment, working with alternative funds (preferably infrastructure) in Luxembourg, as part of an audit/tax firm or fund administrator
  • Excellent academic background with completed studies in finance, accounting or similar (CFA or similar qualification is an asset)
  • Well organized and rigorous with high attention to detail and accuracy; experience in project management
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking and ability to quickly familiarize oneself with complex topics
  • Convincing personality with excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Managing the daily mail by scanning and distributing it to the right team member and following up on the correspondence that was sent out to a third-party

  • Gathering necessary documents for execution and ensuring their follow-up (convening notices, power of attorney, agreements)

Your skills and experience

Your area of responsibility

As Senior Sales / Sales – Germany you will be responsible for business development / sales activities within the segment of institutional Investors in our soon to be open branch in Germany. You will cover predominantly pension funds, insurance companies, occupational pension funds and (single) family offices and (global) financial institutions. You will be mainly responsible for:

Your area of responsibility

​We are seeking an Investor Relations & Product Specialist, to integrate our newly created Client Solutions team in Luxembourg, having a flair for developing and cultivating deep-rooted investor relationships, with an entrepreneurial mindset, attention to detail, and demonstrable interest in private markets energy infrastructure. As a member of EIP’s Client Solutions team, you will work at the interface to our investors. More broadly, you will support the team in its main functions: Marketing and Distribution, Investor Relations and Business Development, all of which support our mission to grow assets under management and expand globally. Key responsibilities include:

Marketing and Business Development

  • Participating in the strategy definition for the distribution/marketing of any new fund/co-investment projects;
  • Obtaining the different licenses required to (pre-)market/private place the funds in the relevant countries based on the marketing strategy;
  • Being in charge of the relationship with and reporting to the different authorities;
  • Assuring all marketing documents are compliant with the AIFMD and any other countries rules and regulations;
  • Mapping and defining investor eligibility and relevant fund structures serving the fundraising;
  • Monitoring & coordination of the activities of our distribution partners & placement agents;
  • Supporting the Head of Client Solutions in Luxembourg in any fundraising and business development related activities.

Investor Relations

  • Being in charge of/overseeing investors onboarding from A to Z;
  • Managing the relationship with the central administrators;
  • Assuring the oversight of the data room and investor portal;
  • Ensuring investors relationship and communication during funds lifecycle targeting top-notch services including participating in update meetings/calls with investors representing EIP as a product specialist;
  • Managing events organization (e.g. roadshows, DD visits, conferences, virtual meetings);
  • Assisting, as the case may be, in the completion/review/enhancement of any RFP, DDQ, ODDQ, marketing documents, etc.;
  • Taking part in any projects related to the department functions (Mailing system, CRM enhancements, etc.)

Your skills and experience

  • Proven first experience within asset management and/or Investor Relations, preferably in private markets
  • Ideally master’s degree in finance and/or economics, equivalent advanced training (CFA, CIIA or CAIA, or progress towards obtaining them) is an advantage
  • Good understanding of investments (including performance and risk analytics), and first exposure to institutional investors, as well as an understanding of private markets infrastructure
  • Superior organization skills, with the ability to manage several processes simultaneously and to work towards tight deadlines in a very dynamic environment
